Hey Everyone,
Since Tom covered Halloween last week, maybe I should update you guys on Christmas…??? Anyway, these last couple weeks have been really fun. Last weekend the alpine team and most of our Nordic team went down to New Mexico for some college races and really represented well, managing the flats of Taos and high altitude of Red River. I was lucky enough to be part of a small group who made the trip up to Sun Valley, ID to race the 32k Boulder Mountain Tour. It was a great day for the Utes with Didrik Smith taking 2nd in the Men’s race and Zoe Roy also finishing 2nd in the women’s race. As it is most of the time up there, flawless blue bird conditions provided a couple of perfect days for some quality training.
This week we will all be heading out to Reno for the UNR Invite. Everyone on the team is very excited for the next couple weeks, as the Olympics rage on and spring skiing is just around the corner. Look for some top notch results from both the Nordic and Alpine sides as we head into the 2nd half of our season.
GO UTES!!
